What sustainability means to us is taking care of the soil, so the soil can take care of you.

We here at Comgro started out as immigrant and first generation farmers who wanted to care for the soil so generations of people could farm the land after us. We saw firsthand how applying manure to the soil strengthened the crops and produced larger and healthier harvests. Over the years we’ve developed and, in our opinion perfected, our compost making process and still see those amazing results when you apply attention, care, and organic matter to the soil.

On Saturday our team had the pleasure of attending the annual gala Monterey Zoo where we were recognized for our continued contributions to the zoo. We haul away the manure from the herbivores at the zoo at no cost, and add it into the mix for our A-Compost! If you’ve ever wondered what makes the A-Compost so good, now you know! Yesterday we had the pleasure of showing some of Soledad FFA’s students how we spread and apply compost on the JV softball and baseball fields at Soledad High School!
