Our focus on producing top-tier speckled Miniature zebu was primarily inspired by a gentleman from Texas, and his wife. Together they raised what was arguably the most colorful herd of Miniature zebu in the world. As we were just getting started in mini zebu, Tom abruptly passed, and he and Terri's herd was dispersed at auction. There was one bull from this herd in particular that I had significant interest in. I watched in 2023 as he was sold at the dispersal, powerless due to lack of knowledge about a hauler to bring him from MO to NC. I waited on the bull to resurface. He resurfaced in 2024, but sold by the time I saw the post about him. Then later that year, he resurfaced again, and this time, I was able to speak to his owner about him and struck a verbal agreement, pending me finding a hauler. In the few days it took for me to find a hauler, the bull was sold out from under me, and once again vanished. I had all but given up on the bull, until a gentleman I know in the zebu world told me that he had the bull. For well over a year, I have been periodically messaging the guy about the bull, and finally, just this week, he caved!
Tom and Terri helped shape the zebu world into what it is today, and I am honored to have a bull with the TNT name, and I look forward to preserving his bloodlines.
