GOD’S GRACE WONT ABANDON US:
What is the Grace of God?
The Grace of God is the love of God shown to the unlovely; the peace of God given to the restless and the unmerited favor of God shown towards us. “Grace” is the most important concept found in the bible. It is clearly expressed in the promises of God, revealed in Scriptures and embodied in Jesus Christ.
What does the Grace of God teach us?
1. The Grace of God teaches us about salvation and gives us the means and the time to repent and change from our sinful ways.
2. The Grace of God teaches us to reject ungodliness and worldly immoral desires.
3. The Grace of God teaches us to live sensible, upright, godly lives with a spiritual (not selfish or fleshy) purpose.
4. The Grace of God teaches us to await with confidence and hope for the coming of the new eternal kingdom and the glorious return of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
Titus 2:11-13 AMP establishes this fact:
For the [remarkable, undeserved] grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.It teaches us to reject ungodliness and worldly (immoral) desires, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives [lives with a purpose that reflect spiritual maturity] in this present age, awaiting and confidently expecting the [fulfillment of our] blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus.
What does the Grace of God not teach us?
1. The Grace of God does not teach us to continue in our sins, our sinful habits and engage in the forbidden pleasures of this world and still assume that we have a place in heaven (the kingdom of God).
2. The Grace of God does not shield us or exempt us from God’s wrath and judgment on the final day of judgment (If we dont repent & change). Grace must be utilized by us now (during Grace period) to choose between Life (God & His ways) and Death (Satan and his deceitful ways of selfishness & flesh).
The following scriptures establishes both these facts:
Romans 6:1-2 AMP declares
What shall we say to all this? Should we continue in sin and practice sin as a habit so that God’s gift of grace may increase and overflow? Certainly not! How can we, the very ones who died to sin, continue to live in it any longer?
Matthew 7:21-23 AMP also declares
Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day when I judge them], ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and driven out demons in Your name, and done many miracles in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them publicly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me you are banished from My presence, you who act wickedly disregarding My commands.
Galatians 5:19-21 AMP also declares
Now the practices of the sinful nature are clearly evident: they are sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality (total irresponsibility, lack of self-control), idolatry, sorcery, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions [that promote heresies], envy, drunkenness, riotous behavior, and other things like these. I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God
Revelation 22:15 AMP also declares
Outside of the kingdom of God are the dogs [the godless, the impure, those of low moral character] and the sorcerers [with their intoxicating drugs, and magic arts], and the immoral persons [the perverted, the molesters, and the adulterers], and the murderers, and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying (deception, cheating).
Psalms 1:5 AMP also declares
Therefore the wicked will not stand [unpunished] in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
Hebrews 9:27 AMP also declares
And just as it is appointed and destined for all men to die once and after this [comes certain] judgment,
Revelation 20:15 AMP also declares
And if anyone’s name was not found written in the Book of Life, he was hurled into the lake of fire.
May the Grace of God always be with us and enable us to become a “Holy nation” before our Lord God Almighty 🙏
