As we wrap up our National Farmer's Day series, we're celebrating the farmers whose dedication, care, and hard work help feed families and strengthen communities.

Kenneth Young, a Georgia farmer whose operation includes both conventional poultry houses for Perdue Farms and pasture-raised chickens for the Pasturebird brand. Farming has been part of Kenneth's family for generations, but he's especially proud of what he's built with his own hands.

From fences and corrals to water lines and poultry houses, Kenneth has spent decades building his farm from the ground up. Today, that same hands-on approach extends to caring for his birds, checking on them multiple times a day and ensuring they have everything they need to thrive.

Thank you to Kenneth, and to all farmers and ranchers, for the care, commitment, and perseverance you bring to agriculture every day.

Lindsay Larson is a third-generation farmer from northwest Wisconsin who raises pigs for Niman Ranch. While outdoor hog farming may be uncommon today, Lindsay is passionate about giving her animals the space to roam, root, and express their natural behaviors.

As a young farmer, she's committed to keeping her family's farming legacy alive while helping consumers better understand the care that goes into raising animals responsibly. Her love for the animals she raises is evident in everything she does, from long days on the farm to a camera roll full of piglet photos.

Today is National Farmer's Day, and we're celebrating the people whose dedication makes everything we do possible.

Throughout the week, we'll be sharing stories of farmers from across the Perdue supply chain. While every farm is different, they all share a commitment to caring for animals, stewarding the land, and producing food for families across the country.

We're kicking off the series with Karen Pettitt, an organic poultry farmer from Worton, Maryland, whose careful attention and passion for animal care help her family farm thrive. At Rusty Rooster Farm, Karen and her family care for more than 200,000 organic chickens, treating every flock with the same dedication and responsibility they bring to everything they do.
