For more than 106 years, Perdue Farms has grown from a small family business into a company that helps feed millions of people across the country.
A lot has changed over those generations — our scale, our products, our technology, the world around us. But some things have remained remarkably consistent: a belief in hard work, a commitment to doing right by people, and a responsibility to leave the business stronger for the next generation.
That spirit comes through in this thoughtful Forbes profile of Perdue Farms Chairman Jim Perdue, the Perdue family, and our company.
What stands out most is the reminder that businesses are ultimately built by people — by associates who show up every day, by farm families and partners who have grown alongside us, and by generations of leaders focused not only on where the company is going, but on what it stands for.
At Perdue, we often talk about raising a better future. Not as a slogan, but as an ongoing responsibility — one that requires balancing tradition with change, growth with accountability, and long-term thinking with everyday decisions.
We’re proud to see that story reflected here in such an authentic way. Thank you to Chloe Sorvino and the Forbes team for taking the time to tell it.
