Shell planted Henry Wilde Sunflowers and Pink Zinnias across the front with Lemongrass providing afternoon shade for the Potatoes & Peppers

Happy Saturday!

Yesterday we finally planted all but our five hottest peppers (19 in all) … most of these were started indoors in February.

The negatives of starting our tomatoes and peppers so early (continuous watering & hardening off) may turn out to be the standard as these plants show very little if any transplant shock … actually, the next day they look better than before they were planted!

The latter pictures are of our Buena Mulata pepper it’s a stout little guy that flowers purple! These (3) plus our Aji Mango (2) are currently being hardened off.

Happy Monday!

After last years success with adding ladybugs, praying mantises & green lacewings we expanded our program with a few soil additions.

EDEN2026 ‘pesticide’ treatment from Natures Good Guys yesterday … this round we went with:

Beneficial Nematodes - 5M

Predatory Mite Mix - 6250

Ladybugs - 1500

Praying Mantis - 2 PODS

Green Lacewing - 1000

Trichogramma Eggs - 10K

The combination of the above ‘should’ give all good protection from ‘most’ garden pests … we will see how it plays out!

Happy Sunday!

Last of the seedlings are getting big … sixteen melon, four pumpkin, four cucumber and five hot peppers.

The peppers are Buena Mulata & Aji Mango the ‘heat’ ranges from 25K to 150K Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Hot peppers look menacing 🤔
