Glenda and the crew out and about. The difference in her feathering has been tremendous since I've saddled her. She's actually able to retain feathers, despite the brittleness being a frazzle causes.

I make saddles for both bantam and standard saddles.

Miss Glenda, my frazzle hen getting fitted with a clean saddle. Her other one was due for a wash. This shows the basics of how to put them on, and as you can see, it's not always their favorite thing in the world.
Glenda is in a saddle 24/7 due to the brittleness of her feathers.
These saddles are machine washable as well-an added bonus.

I have a frazzle hen. She carries two copies of the frizzle gene and her feathers are extremely brittle as a result. She was pretty bald there for awhile. My rooster wasn't trying to yank her feathers out, but it happened. For awhile I had them separated, with my hen in with my growouts at the time, but I had to move her back into the old coop once my Cockerel reached maturity as he is Black Copper Marans and she is Bantam Cochin. The feathers she had struggled to regrow during her time with the growouts were slowly falling off. Around this time I had made a saddle for my Brahma roosters favorite hen and figured I'd see if I could sharing the pattern down to bantam sized ant try one on my frazzle. It took a few tries, but the end results couldn't have turned out better.

Attached below are three pictures of my frazzle. One from May2017, one from when I first put the saddle on in September2017 and one from October2017.
