This past week I turned 37! I had to be reminded of my age several times during the day. This is not because I am scared of aging but because I don’t care about aging. Aging is a fact and something that happens as you live on this planet.

The one thing that has been top of mind is finding a hobby that is sustainable with a baby and a very special 6 YO. And, no, traveling is not a hobby. I think of a hobby as something you do everyday or atleast most days. I love working out, and it is something my body needs. However, it’s been tricky to get back to the gym…that’s a different post all together. I have debated coming back and posting more on Instagram but the fakeness around social media is off putting. I am happy to debate you offline but most people portray a reality that is simply untrue. I understand that this is a career for many people but let’s be open about that. Your hacks are not making my life simpler. Maybe you have an easy recipe I can try or a make up tutorial that’s takes 10 mins…but I can get that content in 1-2 videos.

Thank you for attending my Ted talk.

Hello Insta Fam!

Hope everyone had a healthy and safe holiday season. I am aware of my absence here but 2022 came in like a wrecking ball.

January can often feel like a blah month after all the holiday hype. However, this one felt different. We have more COVID cases in January than in the last 2.5 years. People are tired but have stopped caring.

On a personal front I needed a minute. My anxiety is at an all time high. Niam got a stomach bug and never in a million years I thought I’d be happy that my kid was “just puking his guts out.”

This space has always been an escape for me from the challenges of real life. Full disclosure, in the last few months I have been brainstorming how to monetize my hobby. Clearly this did not happen. More importantly, I think I put unwarranted pressure on myself to be successful in a space where I didn’t have the time to commit more resources.

Most people who know me know that I am a all or nothing kind of person. So, that’s what I did. But my dear bestie, reminded me why I started food blogging. It wasn’t to monetize a hobby, it was to stretch my creative muscle. Honestly, I love creating reels! It’s a lot of work, but I thoroughly enjoy the process of making videos. More importantly I love learning something new.

For the holidays we went to Nashville to visit my cousin and her family. It was amazing trip…one that is hard to leave and come back to reality. Hey, and Aniket and I got a cute picture together which NEVER happens so that’s always a win.

Drop a 👋🏽 below and tell me how your 2022 is going?

Last time cooking in 2021 on Good Things Utah this morning. If you are looking for a gluten free holiday cookie recipe, this one is for you! It’s smell like Christmas so you definitely want to give it a try. Thank you for the incredible opportunity to the GTU staff. Cannot wait to cook up a storm in 2022!

When it comes to the holiday season, I love making (mostly, eating :-D) cookies. Realistically, I love eating cookies all year round. My favorite thing to do in the morning is dipping a cookie in my chai when nobody is up. Eating a cookie with my tea or chai is a ritual I enjoy and brings me a lot o...
