Founded by Johnty, whose passion for the culinary world started early, writing his first recipe at just 7 years old and dreaming of one day owning a restaurant.
Since launching in 2020 with six bean to bar bars, Lucid has grown into one of New Zealand’s most celebrated chocolate makers, earning recognition across five independent award competitions.
After analyzing cacao from around the world, Johnty focused on organic origins in Peru, highlighting the diversity and complexity this exceptional cacao can offer. Every bean is thoughtfully selected from farms that prioritize environmental harmony and ethical care for workers.
From there, Lucid brings a refined approach to unlock the full expression of each bean. The result is chocolate layered with distinct textures, aromas, and truly unique flavor profiles. Each piece is amazing!!
