50 DAYS. 🥹❤️

50 days ago, I said I was going to show up for 180 days.

At the time, I genuinely didn’t know if I’d make it this far.

But somehow, here we are.

50 days of posting.
50 days of learning.
50 days of figuring things out as I go.
50 days of choosing to show up even when I didn’t feel like I had everything figured out.

And honestly, I’m proud of myself.

If you’re also starting over, rebuilding, or trying something new, I hope this reminds you that you don’t have to know exactly how it’s going to turn out.

Just start.

I’ll see you at Day 100. 🤍

130 days to go.

Having a skill is one thing. Knowing how to turn that skill into income is another.

I’m setting a goal to make up to ₦1 million before the year ends, and I’m starting with the skills I already have: content creation, video editing, social media management, UGC, and mobile photography.

I don’t have everything figured out yet, but I’m done waiting until I feel “ready.”

This time, I don’t just want to learn.

I want to earn.

Let’s see what actually works. 👀

Finally bowed to the pressure of mini twist.

Sometimes independence isn’t about rushing to leave home.

It’s about preparing yourself well enough to leave and actually be okay when you do.

I’m learning that having money for rent is not the same as being able to afford a life outside your parents’ home.

So for now, I’m preparing.

Building my income.
Saving.
Learning what my life actually costs.

I want my own space, but I also want to be able to sustain it.

One day, I’ll be arranging my own home knowing I built my way there. 🤍

What’s one thing you need to have in place before you move out?

I spent almost seven years training for a career.
And during my internship it became clearer be the day that my body could no longer handle it. 😔
I tried really hard but it didn’t work.

So now I'm figuring out what the next season of my life would look like. 🤍

If you had to start your career completely over today, what would you choose? Tell me

I think one of the reasons I sometimes feel stuck is because I look at my whole life at once.

Career. Money. Content. Skills. Independence. Everything.

And then I want to fix everything immediately.

So this week, I’m doing the opposite.

I’m picking a few things I can actually finish:

→ Create one UGC video for my portfolio
→ Start building my video editing portfolio
→ Create the content/scripts I already need to work on

That’s not my entire life plan.

It’s just what I’m doing this week.

Because maybe making progress doesn’t always look like a huge breakthrough.

Sometimes it’s just finishing the three things you said you would do.

What are your three things this week?

What’s one thing you genuinely thought you’d have figured out by your age?

Career?
Money?
Marriage?
Where you’d live?
Who you’d be?

And please, don’t give me any polished answer, talk am as e the do you.😂

Tell me the thing you actually thought you’d have figured out by now.

I’m reading the comments. 👀

I've been saying I want to be financially independent for months.
Today I actually sat down and calculated what that would cost me. 😭
The number is not okay. The number is very much not okay.
But at least now I know what I'm working toward. 🤍
Have you ever done this calculation? What was your reaction? 👇🏽

“Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭58‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There are some things you don’t really talk about when you’re financially dependent on your parents as an adult.
Like needing something and immediately thinking, “Can I afford this myself?”
Or knowing you could ask for the money, but deciding you’d rather just go without it.
I’m learning that this is one of the hardest parts of being in this awkward middle.
I have support. I’m grateful for it.
But I also really want to be able to support myself.
If you’re in this phase too, just tell me you’re here. 🤍
