The artwork on the label. (And the Utah designer behind Lasorte Cuadra's brand identity.)

When Salt Lake City creative Victoria Brown first saw «Il Tondo»—this five-foot continuous line drawing by artist Vanda Focanti—she immediately saw how it could express the ethos of on a label. A fragment that hints at something larger. Connection without beginning or end.

That collaboration between artist and designer has now shaped the visual identity across our entire range of wines: Silos, Epopira vermouths, and LI QUI DO boxed wines.

NINE YEARS AGO THIS MONTH

In January 2017, Terrestoria made its first shipment to Utah — the beginning of our journey as a startup. But the story really started 18 months earlier.

In 2015, Stephanie Cuadra was walking the Camino de Santiago solo when a serendipitous encounter changed everything. She met Simón and Noelia, a young couple with a dream of restoring the forgotten reputation of Soutomaior—the smallest subzone of D.O. Rías Baixas, Spain's renowned Albariño country.

In 2016, they bottled their first vintage. Months later, Terrestoria launched with a single wine: Albariño.

One producer. One wine. One leap of faith.

Today, Noelia Bebelia is recognized the world over, earning 92 points from Tim Atkin MW among many other accolades. And this wine remains at the very heart of who we are, the template for every producer that has followed.

BTG Needs a Fresh Start

Pleased to share my latest editorial for . In it, I begin to make a case for premium box-to-glass wine programs—in under 1000 words, as written for the publication's Expert Editorial series dedicated to trade perspectives.

This is only the beginning of a conversation, not a fixed conclusion. Our industry is at an inflection point, and I believe alternative formats deserve a seat at the table—alongside the open-minded curation that defines the best wine lists. The willingness to look beyond traditional bottles, familiar regions, and unquestioned rituals is what separates programs that evolve from those that stagnate.

This piece wouldn't have been possible without Utah's food and beverage professionals who participated in the Lì Quì Dò Trade Experience Survey and shared their real-world experiences. Those insights add substantial weight to the case for reframing BTG as 'box to glass.' And to our partners at .ut—thank you for believing in this vision from the start.

This was our first shipment of Silos to Utah in 2022. How time flies. Our little one is now roughly five layers closer to the top of a pallet!

When we released that first vintage of Silos, Utah was our exclusive international launch market. As a new wine from a little-known region, we offered an introductory price of $24.99 to help our Valle d'Itria field blend of indigenous Apulian grapes find its audience.

Three years on, Silos is entering new markets at a suggested retail price point of $30+. Next spring, with the release of Silos 2023, Utah pricing will be aligned with other markets at $29.99 per bottle—a change that takes effect February 1, 2026.

If you've been meaning to pick up another bottle or try Silos for the first time, you still have a full month of Utah's preferential launch pricing throughout January.
