Good nights are spent with the girls. We’ve had a lot of loss on the farm these last two years which we all know isn’t fun or easy. Admittedly- most of this is felt by Mom and dad who are in the barn every morning and every night. There’s been several nights we’ve dread the time spent in the barn knowing a ewe isn’t well, and occasionally there’s not a whole lot we can do.

However we currently have the youngest flock we’ve ever had. Also right now without making any effort to do so all of our brood ewes have a green tag in their ear- a “Burnett” tag. Our best ewes have always been our own and that’s something we’ve always held pretty high.

Everybody’s healthy, everybody’s friendly and everybody loves their carrots every night. And that makes mom, dad and I extremely happy.

Big changes coming up which lead me to make the decision to put our two yearlings up for sale! I’ll cut out and post pictures this weekend.

We also have 4yr old ram that will be up for sale- getting to where we have retained to many of his daughters!

Little late but we are back from a fantastic Big-E! Always great to see everybody at the show! We even managed to have some fun at the fair! I think everybody was happy to get home and back into the pastures!

As we’re waiting for the last 4 ewes to lamb it is getting us mighty excited for the upcoming spring season. The most excited of us all is Wyatt, my trusty sidekick. Admittedly he’s better at giving the sheep kisses then working them. We recently rescued a mini Aussie - Parker and have even lower expectations for him as he didn’t receive the smart gene 🧬😋

Peaceful mornings on the farm. I think we’re all ready for spring to get the mommas and lambs out on pasture again!
