2025 was a really rough year for the Satsuma grove--over half of the trees may have been lost as a result of the blizzard a year ago. Recovery takes time, but is possible! Happy new year!

Time will tell how well the orchard took last month's blizzard. Most leaves have dropped, but most trees look alive.

If you have a group, or assemble a group, to order 100 boxes of our delicious satsuma mandarins, grown without any pesticides, herbicides,or fungicides, we deliver in the Southeastern United States and beyond. We have been growing these for 4 years now, with many happy, repeat customers. $60 per 20-pound box. We also ship anywhere in the continental United States via USPS Flat Rate Priority, $55 for the large Flat Rate box and $35 for the medium. Most people order the large for themselves or as gifts for friends. Harvest begins sometime in November after a few frosty nights, which makes them extra sweet, and runs through December, while supplies last! This is a public post; feel free to share and tag friends 😊. 🍊

Blossom and fruit set time for the sweet Satsuma orchard. It's not too early to talk with friends and neighbors and church folk about getting together a buying club or co-op to order the fruit in quantity for delivery in late November or December. We have delivered loads of 1,000 pounds or more across the South and Eastern States and also ship USPS for gifts. 🍊 🍊

The orchard is looking great this year! Trees have flower buds by the thousands, not open yet, which is good in this (hopefully the last) cold spell, which is staying above freezing for us here.

Hello, friends! It's been a rough season for satsuma/citrus growers in Alabama; local growers lost 10-20% of their trees to a once-in-20-years freeze late last December; then lost 60-100% of this year's fruit crop to a late freeze! Sprinkling saved most of our trees, but we lost nearly all of the fruit, as blooming was just finishing when the freeze came. The year has been very dry; but with irrigation the trees look good for the coming season. We have nothing for sake this year, but hoping to be able to offer a good crop of Satsuma next year, plus some veggies, seeds, and honey.
