You're never going to believe what happened to me...
I'm choosing to spill the tea, because staying silent allows people to write their own version of the story, that they created.
Recently, a fellow vendor made an accusation against Coastal Whisk, in an effort to interfere with my business.
👎I won’t be naming the business.
👎I won’t be participating in a public back-and-forth.
👎I certainly won’t retaliate by trying to interfere with someone else’s livelihood.
👎That’s not how I do business.
I’ve spent more than 30 years in the food industry building my knowledge, honing my craft, and earning the trust of the people I serve.
I’m proud of what I’ve built, and I’m not going to be intimidated out of doing what I love.
Competition doesn’t bother me. There is enough room for more than one successful small business in the community.
What does bother me is seeing energy spent trying to tear down another small business, when that same energy could be spent making your own business better. I also have it on good authority that you've made this same unsuccessful attempt with at least 2 other local bakeries recently.
So if the intention was to discourage me, it had the opposite effect.
👋 I’m still here.
👋 I’m still baking.
👋 I’m still creating.
👋 I’m still showing up.
👋 I’m still building Coastal Whisk.
To everyone who continues to purchase from me, recommend me, share my work, and show up at my markets—thank you. 🙏
Your support speaks louder than any false allegation ever could.
I’ll keep my focus where it belongs: on the food, the people who support me, and the business I’ve worked incredibly hard to build.
See y’all at the next market. 💙
