Yall saw how the honey started off almost clear with a slight yellow tint, well now you see it’s getting a little darker.
It’s awesome that I now have a 30 gallon clarifying tank. There are some pros and cons to it.
The pros:
• It makes extracting faster as it separates the big wax particles faster.
• I have a pump that connects to it to pump into Buckets and eventually barrels.
• it’s a small automated system.
The Cons:
• I have to extract a lot of honey for it to work properly. That means if any other kind of honey is mixed it, it will be considered a blend.
Though all of this came from the cotton fields, I can taste that yes there is Cotton Honey in it but it’s not a pure cotton honey.
The good thing is:
• It’s tasty!
• Several hundred pounds of Local Honey
• I have a lot more honey to pull from the cotton fields!! ( I’ll be better next time to separate the pure Cotton Honey)
