Changes to my personal situation force me to sell my registered herd of Boer goats. These are some of the top commercial meat goat genetics in the world. Turnkey operation including 2 proven herd sires (more available), 80 does of various ages, 4 experienced LGD's, and website/domain (not going to lie it needs to be updated, but there is a ton of good content on it). All goats ABGA registered. Decades of performance test and other records.

We breed for commercially valuable traits (parasite resistance, rapid weight gain, small mature size/high production, ability to thrive on pasture with little/no care, etc.) none of which are observable by looking at a photo or even the goat in person. These are not show stock, nor marketed as such. If that is what you want, these aren't what you are looking for.

Pictures taken February 2024.

$43,000 for all.

Please share to help me get these sold. Thanks!

Kidding season continues, and it was a great day to be a newborn goat today with a warm, sunny, 67 degree afternoon and no wind. We are about 1/3 of the way through kidding with more nasty weather forecast for Thursday.

First kid of 2015, and this little guy could not have picked a worse day to be born. Record low high (29F at the time he was born), freezing fog, and ice everywhere. Then to compound the challenges he is a large single from a first-time mother who won't be a yearling until next week.

Long story short, I came down to feed and found his mother running to the feed with this little guy's head protruding from her. Judging by the amount of swelling in his head he had been there awhile, and I initially thought he was dead. After I pulled one leg out, then the other, he slid right out and a few seconds later let us know he was still with us.

I figured he was probably the only one, but scrubbed in anyway, and have already been elbow deep in a goat 1 birth into kidding season. Nothing else in there, so the doe got some antibiotics, NSAID's, steroids, and oxytocin, and the kid got wiped down with some towels and his own dose of NSAID's and steroids to make the swelling go away. 6 hours later everybody looks good, and baby has a full tummy of colostrum. Sure hope it warms up like it's supposed to.

B562Y and B576Y sort out the pecking order. This is pretty much a battle for 2nd place. W361Y would have no problem whooping either of them. They don't even try to challenge him.

Breeding season is over. Should have kids hitting the ground starting the 1st week of March. Two of our 3 older sires had to be replaced this year by their sons because they were shooting blanks. These are photos of the breeding groups before we took the bucks out.

It seems everyone in the world eats goat meat but Americans. However, the preference for goat meat in the U.S. is rapidly increasing, as reflected in the record high prices in recent years.
