We want to thank everyone who joined us for our 65th Beefmaster Bull Sale on October 3rd. We are very grateful for all of our customers, many of whom are second- and third-generation buyers. Ranchers from across the U.S. and Mexico bought these excellent bulls, which brought the second-highest average in company history.

We are already hard at work on our next set of bulls. Please mark your calendars for our 66th sale—October 2, 2027!

We are embarking on an exciting experiment in virtual fencing. After a lot of research, we chose Halter collars. We recently started installing on a few small groups to learn the ropes, and it will roll it out for most of the cattle this fall at preg-check. So far, it has gone very smoothly. The cattle have adapted remarkably quickly (but we all know Beefmasters are smarter than other breeds 🙂). You can see in the larger pasture photo that we have virtually cut an 850-acre pasture into a 142-acre paddock for grazing management. Cooler yet, as you can see in the zoomed in photo, you can see where each individual animal is by I.D. number. Once we get rolling, we hope to be able to virtually herd them to a small area or even into a trap for gathering. A lot of our country is big, brushy and rough. The ability to find every animal and more strategically graze will be a game changer! I'll report back when we know more. Stay tuned!
