We have honey 🍯!! Johnny D’s Bees took our frames and extracted the honey for us. We got around 40lbs from one hive.

We decided against extracting from our smaller hive this year, they’re now thriving and want to make sure they stay that way.

I did a little gardening today. I planted some cone flowers, zinnias & sun flowers.  I didn’t get a picture of the sunf...

I did a little gardening today. I planted some cone flowers, zinnias & sun flowers.  I didn’t get a picture of the sunflowers yet, but will post soon. Hopefully these have better luck than the last batch.

I know how crooked my garden beds are… eventually I’ll have a better border but this cheap aluminum will have to do.

Zero percent chance of rain today according to our local weatherman, during the 12:00 news. Sometimes I really love it when the weatherman is wrong. 🌧️ it’s cooled off at least 10° outside and it feels & smells lovely.

A little unexpected excitement today. The animals got out of their pasture into the lawn. Looks like we need to be better about checking the latches.

Liz is busy behind me corralling roosters… otherwise affectionately known as… Chick Chick. Both of the free-range roosters have the same name 😂 it works!

I planted 15 sunflowers and lost all, but this gorgeous Autumn Beauty 🌻!! I love coming out several times a day to admire her and watch her follow the sun ☀️

I think I’m going to give growing sunflowers another shot. I definitely know where I went wrong now and won’t make the same mistakes again.
