Our hearts just got a whole lot fuller. 💕👶
We want to welcome our beautiful brand-new granddaughter into this world. We already love her more than words can explain, and we can’t wait to watch her grow, laugh, learn, and become the amazing little person she’s meant to be.
She came in weighing 6 lbs. 7 oz.… and as grandparents, we’ve decided that means she’s officially our little 6-7 special. 😂
Grandma said, “She’s perfect.”
Grandpa said, “Yeah… but 6-7? She already knows how to make an entrance.” 🤣
She already has us wrapped around that tiny little finger, and honestly, we don’t even mind.
Welcome to the family, beautiful girl. ❤️ We can’t wait to spoil you, love you, and watch you grow.
Our little 6-7 baby is here. 💕😂

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to sit down with two firefighters and ask them a question that I think means something different to every American:
“What does 9/11 mean to you?”
For me, I can tell you exactly where I was when it happened.
I remember what I was doing.
I remember watching the news.
I remember the feeling.
And I would bet that most people who were old enough to remember that day can tell you exactly where they were too.
That is how powerful September 11, 2001 was.
It was one of those moments where the whole country seemed to stop.
But for firefighters, that day carries a weight that many of us will never fully understand.
They watched members of their own profession put on their gear, walk into those buildings, and climb those stairs knowing there was a chance they would never come back down.
They went anyway.
That is courage.
That is sacrifice.
That is what it means to serve.
While editing this video today, I listened to these two firefighters speak about what 9/11 means to them, and it made me think about that day all over again.
This video is not about Texas 2 Cali.
It is not about selling food.
It is simply about giving two firefighters a few minutes to speak from the heart and giving the rest of us a chance to listen.
So turn the sound up.
Take a few minutes.
And listen to what 9/11 means to them.
Because some days should never become just another date on the calendar.
September 11, 2001.
We remember where we were.
We remember those who ran toward the danger.

😂🌮 CAME TO WORK TODAY AND THE FAT KID THAT TAKES THE ORDERS CAN’T EVEN GET TO HIS WINDOW!
I’m looking at all these protesters like, “Y’all love the food so much you’re blocking the guy who takes your order?” 🤣
Apparently they can’t believe Bandera, Texas is sitting on this much deliciousness and keeping it to themselves .
They’re out there yelling:
“AIN’T NO WAY TACOS THIS GOOD ARE LEGAL!”
“NO ICE IN MY AGUA FRESCAS!”
“BANDERA NEEDS TO SHARE THIS FOOD WITH THE REST OF AMERICA!” 😂
Meanwhile the fat kid is standing there like:
“Hey y’all, can you just move? You’re holding up the lunch line!” 🤣🌮
At this point, they might have a case.
Because having food this good in a little town like Bandera and not sharing it with everybody else might actually be illegal. 😂🔥
FREE THE ORDER WINDOW. LET THE FAT KID WORK.

My wife noticed somebody left us another plant… no note, no name, no ransom demand. 😂🌱
But hold up… this one came looking healthy, clean, and fresh from the store. I said, “Ohhh, this one got papers!” 🤣
At this point Texas 2 Cali ain’t just feeding people… apparently we’re running a plant foster home too. 😂
And you already know my wife… she looked at it for two seconds and basically said, “It lives here now.” 🤦🏽‍♂️
Pretty soon I’m gonna have to put up a sign:
NO MORE PLANT DROP-OFFS… unless they come with rent money. 😂🌵

So we got gifted this birdhouse… at least we THOUGHT it was a birdhouse. 😂
Then somebody looked at it and said, “Man, that might be a BAT BOX.” 🦇
Well, that changed everything real quick. 😂 I had to call the person who gave it to us just to make sure we weren’t about to open up a little Airbnb for bats.
Good news: it IS a birdhouse. 🐦😂

I came in today and I swear I’m starting to feel like the Chicano Plant Fire Department 😂🌵🚒
People keep dropping off these little plant huérfanos at Texas 2 Cali — and not the healthy ones either. 😂
They’re coming in looking like they’ve been through three summers, a divorce, and a deportation hearing. 🌱🤣
Leaves hanging, dirt dry, poking everybody… just straight-up plant emergency room status.
And the problem is my wife Dina loves plants, so once somebody leaves one here… that’s it. They got asylum. 😂
I’ll be like, “Babe, this one is done. We gotta take it to the plant pound.”
Dina: “NOPE. He just needs love.” 🤦🏽‍♂️😂
So now apparently Texas 2 Cali is also the Plant Orphanage, Rehab Center & Taco Rescue Facility. 🌵🌮
At this rate, if you got a plant hanging on by one leaf, just bring it over… apparently my wife is running the witness protection program for plants. 😂😂

• Restaurant, food truck or kitchen experience preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Great customer service and communication skills
• Able to follow recipes, portions and Texas 2 Cali standards
• Keep your station clean, organized and stocked
• Comfortable handling cash/POS systems when needed
• Able to stand for long periods and work in the heat of a food truck
• Must work well with a team and be willing to help wherever needed

We came in this morning and found this little plant sitting here… and I KNOW it wasn’t here when we left last night. 😂🌵
Now look… I’m Chicano, so automatically my brain starts going:
“¿Quién dejó esto aquí?”
“Is it good luck?”
“Is it protección?”
“Is somebody giving us ojo?”
“Do I need an egg, Vicks, and my grandma on standby?” 😂😂😂
I’m JUST PLAYING… kinda. 🤣
Maybe whoever left it saw all the plants we already have and said, “These people look like they know what they’re doing.” 😂 Maybe Texas 2 Cali is officially the Bandera Plant Rescue Center now. 🌱🌵
Meanwhile, after it poked me, I was already Googling the nearest PLANT POUND. 😂😂😂
I told my wife, “Look… maybe somebody else can give it a good home.”
She LOVES plants, so she looked at me like I had just suggested taking a puppy to the pound. 🤣🤣
Apparently there will be NO surrendering this plant. No rehoming. No foster family. No plant pound. NOTHING. 😂
Somebody dropped it off, my wife saw it, and apparently the adoption papers were signed immediately. 🌵📝🤣
So congratulations, mystery plant… you live here now. 😂
But seriously, does anybody know what kind of plant this is, what it means if anything, and how to take care of it? It looks like it’s been through some cosas. 😂
And those little pokers are no joke! I already poked my finger and now it itches, so me and this plant already started off on the wrong foot. 🤣

I’m 57 years old, and I’ve watched music change a lot over the years. I remember when rap was still new and never imagined how far it would go.
When Nelly tried that country album, I remember thinking, “Why would he do that?” At the time, I just didn’t see it.
But watching this young lady absolutely kill it while representing country music, I think I see the vision now. Maybe artists like Nelly helped kick open some doors and made it more normal for different genres to come together.
So just a simple question: Do you think rap has a place in country music and other genres too?
No arguing, no right or wrong answer. I’m just curious how everybody feels about how much music has evolved. 🎶🤠🎤 and we do not own the rights to this song.

We had a couple come from San Antonio to see if we really had that LA/Cali flavor we keep talking about. 😂
She’s from Northern California, and he’s from San Antonio, Texas.
He ate our food… and guess what? Nothing happened to him. 🤣
He still says y’all.

And yes… he’s STILL a Texan from San Antonio. 🤠

A couple drove in from Kerrville to try Texas 2 Cali… and he was a little skeptical about that “L.A taste.” 👀🌮
But here’s the crazy part — he actually lived in my hometown of South Gate, L.A , so he KNOWS what that flavor is supposed to taste like.
He’s been looking for that L.A taste here in Texas…
