🔥 MEET THE COMPETITOR: PG Special Events Catering 🔥

Look who’s returning to the arena! We are absolutely thrilled to announce that PG Special Events Catering is officially competing at this summer's Taste of the Alamo! 🍳✨

If the name sounds familiar, it’s because they are the reigning 2025 People's Choice Winners from last year’s Taste of NACE—and they are officially back to defend their title and take home another trophy! 🏆

🌮 From Family Roots to Award-Winning Catering
PG Special Events stems from a deep, rich culinary legacy, starting with the beloved, family-owned Papa Gallo’s Mexican Restaurant established back in 1997. After meeting in 2003 and marrying in 2015, owners Jesse and Lidia López decided to combine their shared passions, culinary expertise, and hearts to launch their own premier catering company.

✨ Flavor, Quality, and Heart
With a beautiful mission to make every life milestone truly memorable, Jesse and Lidia take the time to personally connect with each client and cater specifically to their needs. Their ultimate goal is simple: to deliver the absolute best quality and freshest flavors at the perfect price point.

From dream weddings and Sweet 16s to corporate functions and fundraisers, they bring top-tier flavor to every single plate.

Will they take home the ultimate bragging rights once again this year? There's only one way to find out! Come taste their incredible creations and cast your vote at the San Antonio Botanical Gardens.

From the vibrant colors of the seasonal ingredients to the precise placement of every micro-green, we believe wedding cuisine should complement the beauty of the day. It’s about creating unforgettable culinary moments that guests will talk about long after the final dance.
