Made the trip down to Laredo this weekend for the Chillin & Grillin cookoff put on by the Pit Kings. After a long morning, a long wait for awards to begin, and all the awards being called, we were awarded what I think is the highest award in bbq competition: first place brisket!! In addition we got a 14th final table chicken and a 15th place final table ribs!! Not bad for our first CBA event, but it won’t be our last. Thanks to my teammates Rick Salinas Ric Garzza our honorary teammate Fred Tijerina for all your hard work. This is what it’s all about! Thanks to everyone who showed support! This is what it is all about!! Thank you Andy Lugo meat hussler for an awesome brisket!!

Well after all the smoke settled this weekend we ended up with some really Good turn ins on all three meats and managed a final table brisket (18) out of 160+ teams. Big thanks to Andy Lugo meat hussler meats and to my teammates Ric Garzza and Rick Salinas for all the help this weekend and my wife Claudia for always supporting us. Love you all!
