Recently, employees from Labatt’s Houston location assembled produce bags for the Houston Food Bank. The team packed oranges and tangerines into 5lb bags to distribute to the community. Overall, they packed 10,000lbs of fresh produce.

Today is National Intern Day and Labatt Food Service would like to recognize our 8 outstanding summer interns for 2025. This group brought work ethic, personality and a strong desire to learn our business. They each made an impact on what we do this summer in sales, purchasing, data analytics, software development and R&D. Even though they wrapped up their time with us last week, we couldn’t let today go by without sharing some of the pictures of the fun we had with them this summer! We hope you all have a great senior year!

Our Corpus office recently had a team serve at the H-E-B Feast of Sharing event on December 21 at the American Bank Center. The group of 11 employees helped pass out trays of food to community members in need of a meal for the holidays.

Labatt recently brought together its newest sales representatives from across the company to its corporate office in San Antonio for some incredible training sessions. Labatt executives and managers shared valuable insights, tips, and strategies to help develop sales aptitude and skills.

This past weekend, our Houston branch partnered with Target Hunger and helped at their Willie & Gladys Goffney Community Garden. Our team helped turn soil, plant, and w**d some of the garden beds, which provide fresh produce for community members in need of food assistance.

Last weekend Labatt hosted its annual Truck Roadeo at our warehouse in San Antonio. Our employees and their families came together to compete, play games, win prizes, and eat delicious food! The contestants participated in competitions on forklifts, tuggers, centerride jacks, and of course, trucks. For over 30 years, the Truck Roadeo has provided the opportunity for the whole company to come together and celebrate our drivers and warehouse employees as they show off their skills to their families. Congratulations to all our 2024 Winners!

Labatt’s Dallas division recently got together to help out at the Mansfield ISD Back to School Bash. The team filled water stations and distributed water to all the attendees.

Labatt recently hosted its annual Food Show at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio. Labatt prides itself in only selling nationally branded products and giving the manufacturers a direct line of communication with the customers. This event brought together our customers and manufacturers from across the nation to meet face-to-face, discover new items, sample products, discuss menu ideas, and more.

Earlier this summer, 30 employees from Labatt’s San Antonio location assembled produce bags for the San Antonio Food Bank. The group, alongside other organizations including some Labatt customers, assembled 1,475 bags, enough for 42,404 meals.

As our 13 summer interns wrap up their final week with us, today is the perfect day to celebrate them on National Intern Day! Each intern was mentored by tenured employees and made a significant impact on our company initiatives in departments such as purchasing, research and development, supply chain, sales, business analytics and software development. We look forward to seeing all the amazing things you will accomplish! Thank you for spending your summer with us!

Labatt recently hosted its annual Truck Roadeo in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Employees and their families came together to compete, play games, win prizes, and eat some delicious food! The contestants participated in competitions on forklifts, tuggers, center rides, and of course, trucks. This year's event was particularly special with a celebration of 15 years at Labatt's Albuquerque warehouse.

Labatt hosted its annual company picnic for the San Antonio, Houston, Austin, Corpus Christi, and Valley locations on May 4th. Employees from all departments and their families gathered to enjoy various activities including games, rides, a petting zoo, and even some friendly competitions. Kids enjoyed face painting, caricatures, and balloon art. Texas barbecue was served and it was delicious! The event was a great opportunity for everyone to socialize and bond. Overall, it was a wonderful day filled with fun, laughter, and camaraderie. We look forward to the next company event!
