🚨 NEW location and small business alert 🚨

me & nani want to give the biggest congratulations to J & R Snack Bar on their new business! 🥹🤍 they just opened their doors in harlingen at 323 w jackson street, suite b, and we couldn’t be more excited to see another local business grow in our rgv community.

their food looks SO good and the prices are even better from hot cheeto burgers, burritos & nachos to all the yummy snacks, there’s definitely something you’re gonna want to try!

they’ll also be at tomorrow’s evening market in san benito so whether you stop by their new store in harlingen or you come support them at market days, make sure you show them some love! 🫶🏻

we know firsthand how scary, exciting, exhausting & rewarding opening a business can be. it takes so much courage to put yourself out there, and that’s why we truly believe supporting one another is one of the best parts of being a small business owner. 🥹

day 4 of gravity falls 💫

if anything, friday felt even busier than a weekday, and honestly… we wouldn’t have it any other way. the amount of people in our lobby and the number of drinks we made today was CRAZY, but we truly love the rush. maybe not quite as much when we’re cleaning up at the end of the night 😂 but those are the moments when me and nani look at each other and the silence hits us cause dang we got through another CRAZY day.

from our after-school kids coming in (which we love you guys yall are awesome) to the parents bringing their little ones, to everyone who waited patiently while we worked through the rush. THANK YOU. seriously.

we’re still growing, expanding, and remodeling all at the same time, so there are definitely moments where we might run out of something or have to figure out a substitution on the spot. we appreciate everyone being so understanding and patient with us while we find solutions and continue working to make yo mama even better because we know we can improve.

today everyone was LOVING the gravity falls menu, and our NEW banana bread coffees have officially been getting so much love too so definitely stop by to try them out 🤎

we’re ending day 4 feeling energetic but tired in a good way, grateful, and incredibly blessed. thank you for continuing to show up for us, support us, be patient with us, and grow with us. we truly wouldn’t be able to do any of this without our community and people coming from all over, this is so much bigger then san benito and it’s giving us ideas to potentially expand in new places soon 👀

a little something sweet from nani 🤍

this was nani’s very first full-sized cheesecake that she made for a specific event, and it was for our sweet friend melissa. she put so much love into making it, and we honestly think it came out so cute for her first one!

seeing how excited she was to make it got us thinking… maybe this is something we should offer to y’all too.

another long day, another lobby full of people, and two very tired sisters who couldn’t be more grateful 🤍

day 3 somehow got even bigger. we got to watch so many of you try our new menu items, we welcomed our regular church group and a NEW one it’s so awesome that thursdays are where they meet and it just adds to the blessings of our shop, we got to see our after-school crowd, and meet people who came from all over just to visit us once again and honestly moments like that mean more to us than y’all probably realize.

we’re not going to lie… keeping up with this much love and this much demand has definitely been an adjustment 😭 but being exhausted at the end of the day because our lobby was full is a blessing we’ll never complain about.

we just ask that you continue to be patient with us while we adjust and figure out how to serve everyone better. if you’ve had any issues, please send us a dm and let us know. we truly want your feedback and want to make sure every visit feels like a good one.

thank you for filling our little shop with so much love, laughter, and new faces. thank you to our church groups, our after-school besties, our regulars, and everyone who came from near and far. 🥹

honestly, we don’t even know what to say 🥹

day 2 and it’s another day sold out :,)

today was one of those days where me & nani kept looking at each other like… what are we gonna do?!our lobby stayed packed, we barely got to sit down, sold out of multiple milks more than once, and restocked throughout the day just trying to keep up. by the end, we were just serving fruit teas & poke bowls 😭 (which are delicious btw).

the day started with nani at school while our lovely regulars came in for their mahjong game. i genuinely love our mahjong ladies they always make yo mama feel like home and keep us company during the mornings:,) then we had to pick richie up from school early so he could come help because things were getting CRAZY.

seeing our lobby full of people laughing, smiling, meeting new faces, and just enjoying themselves made all the running around worth it.

we even had people come from brownsville, edinburg, mcallen, la feria & harlingen just to see us and try our gravity falls series. y’all could go anywhere, and you choose to come spend your day here and we truly don’t take that for granted.

yo mama started as something so small, and days like today remind me & nani just how blessed we are. thank you for supporting our family, our little shop, and all the crazy ideas we come up with. 🥹

we’re exhausted, but our hearts are SO SO SO full.
