Day 4 of camp at Brand Christian Camp! After this we head back to Big Red’s Ranch. But first we will be finishing camp with our awards ceremony. It’s going to be a close race because we have a lot of great campers this week!

All summer we have had great campers. This week has been such a blessing to our volunteers and staff. All of our campers want to be here, listen to their leaders, participate, and have great attitudes. It has been a privilege to host these kids this week. We look forward to when they are all volunteers and camp counselors because they will be great leaders. Parents, thank you for entrusting your kids into our care.

When we started Big Red we didn’t have a ranch, we didn’t have anywhere to host anything. We started with a dream. Thankfully we were soon allowed to use an amazing campground in Mission named Brand Christian camp. This is where we hosted our first Father/Son campout. This is where we hosted our first camp. Some of our current staff attended that camp as campers. We are so thankful that we are able to host camps here again this summer. This lake is the best lake in the Rio Grande Valley. Day 2 of camp was awesome!
