What a weekend!!! ❤️
After three years away from the show ring, we finally decided it was time to get back to it and see what Edene and I could do.
And somehow… I also decided to run my À La French crêpe stand at the Horse Park at the same time. 😂🥞🐴
The weekend turned out to be more than I could have hoped for. 1st & 2nd on day one, followed by 4th & 5th in the Classic class on day two! 🏆❤️
But behind those ribbons was a whole team who made it possible.
A huge thank you to Tim and Danteo for keeping the crêpes coming while I was riding, to my husband for supporting this slightly crazy idea, and to Veronica for being part of the team and capturing so many great moments. ❤️
And then there is Edene.
Three years ago, I wasn’t sure where our journey was going. There were moments when selling her seemed like the easiest answer. Instead, I chose to keep working, learning, and believing in what we could become together.
I’m incredibly grateful to Antoine Aubriot Harbor for the guidance, patience and confidence he has given me and Edene over the past few months, and to the whole team at the barn for their support.
And this journey didn’t start with Antoine. ❤️ Thank you to Etsuko Sakimura and Daniel Zilla, who both played important roles in Edene’s development. Every trainer, every ride, every difficult moment and every lesson has brought us here.
This weekend meant so much more than ribbons. Being back in the ring, having fun, and feeling like a team again was pretty special. 🥹❤️
Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey — and to everyone who came for a crêpe, cheered us on, or simply believed in us.
A big Thank you The Horse Park at Woodside Official for such a great venue and to the team Woodside Show Series for organizing such a great show.
Three years later… we’re back. And we’re having fun. 🐴❤️🥞
With love,
Elodie, Edene & À La French
