This is Part One of Crafted By.
A series built around sharing a meal and exploring the stories behind the people who inspire us. Creators. Makers. Doers.
In this first episode, we sit down with my buddy Jack. On the surface, it’s a story about moto racing. But underneath, it’s a story about nearly losing your life, experiencing failure, and finding the courage to keep chasing a dream anyway.
After a devastating crash, most people would have called it quits.
Jack didn’t.
Today, he’s fighting his way back with one goal in mind: standing on the podium again.
This idea took a year to complete.
There were plenty of times I wasn’t sure I’d actually pull it off. Between work, family, life, and the challenge of creating something that felt true to the vision in my head, it was easier to keep pushing it down the road. I’m not an artist and not technical enough to know how to use Premiere. Like everything else we just figure it out.
But I couldn’t shake the feeling that stories like this deserve more than a 15-second highlight reel.
The truth is, this episode goes against almost everything we’re told works on Instagram.
It’s five minutes long.
There’s no dramatic hook in the first three seconds. No rapid-fire cuts. No attention-hacking transitions.
Just a meal. A conversation. And a story about what keeps a person moving forward after life gives them every reason to stop.
If you watch it, thank you.
If you share it, it would mean the world to me.
And if it earns more than five seconds of your attention, I hope you walk away reminded that some dreams are worth chasing twice.
