Word of Mouth Baja

Word of Mouth Baja This page is designed for resources in Baja, California and close lying areas. We help to support local restaurants, bars, food trucks, and farms.

Hi, group; since we've welcomed lots of new members, here's a run-down of the rules:
1. Restaurants/Food Trucks PLEASE post your ads on Mondays and Fridays ONLY. I will usually allow some extra posts by businesses during holiday weekends for the benefit of group members looking for places with holiday specials. Eateries participating in the Perks Program (PM me for details) can post on M, W and Fr

iday.
2. I absolutely will NOT tolerate drama of any kind. If you cannot discuss issues in an adult, decent, and KIND manner, please refrain from commenting within the group. I will not allow sarcasm, rudeness, name-calling, bullying, or bashing.
3. I reserve the right to ban anyone or delete any comments or entire posts at any time, and at my discretion. I want this to be a friendly group with helpful members and a place where people feel comfortable asking about local eateries and/or giving their opinions about them. I try to treat everyone with respect and decency. I ask for, and expect, a little bit of respect for each other and the group in return.
3.5 NEW rule: Block an admin or get rude with an Admin and you will immediately be banned.
4. Lastly, this is not the place for promoting your blog, selling your dining room table, giving away your puppies, or posting missing pets/people. It IS okay to post restaurant equipment for sale or ask about (or post) restaurant jobs. Posts need to be RESTAURANT, or at least FOOD, related. I know this looks like a huge post, but it's pretty straightforward: Be kind to each other and let's talk about restaurants! smile emoticon
As always, if you have a question, please feel free to PM me and ask. If you are having a problem with another member of the group or a certain thread, please tag or PM me. I'll be glad to help in any way I can. Thank you all so very much. I appreciate your patience, your kindness, your helpful comments and your participation.

The Work-Horse of the Baja Peninsula:

The ecotourism boom and the ability of the panga to help support it ensured that the local population, including ex-fishermen, had a new way to make a living.

How fitting: From its pearl-diving ancestry to Mac Shroyer’s fiberglass panga, this versatile, unstoppable boat has once again saved the day.

The story behind pangas, the boat that changed the world.
