Asin Tibuok — also known as the “Dinosaur Egg” salt — is one of the rarest sea salts in the world. 🦖🥚

Produced on the island of Bohol using a centuries-old process, each salt orb takes over four months to create and carries a deep, smoky mineral flavor unlike any other salt.

We’re proud to be the official partner and distributor outside of the Philippines working directly with the Tan Inong Manufacturing Corporation (TIMCOR) and the Cris Manongas family to help share this incredible culinary heritage with the world.

For generations, this craft was nearly lost — but today it’s being revived and celebrated by chefs and food lovers globally.

xroadsSALTS Siling Labuyo, a variety of Capsicum frutescens aka Wild Rooster Chili #15 and once considered the hottest chili in the world. Commonly bright brick in color, it’s reminiscent of a beautiful Luzon sunset, this chili unbounds aromatics both floral and citrus notes preceded with vibrant heat which build in intensity. Unleashing 80,000 to 100,000 Scoville heat units on the palate, Siling Labuyo Chili was added to the Slow Food Ark of Taste in 2014 recognizing its endangered status. Siling Labuyo truly remains an iron fist in a velvet glove!

Sweet first.
Then a gentle kick.
Then… a little spark.

This Siling Labuyo Pepper bar starts sweet and creamy, then adds just enough heat to keep things interesting. Bright Filipino cacao leads the way, coconut milk smooths the edges, and Swiss-style precision keeps the spice perfectly in check.

A little fire. A lot of finesse. 🌶️🍫🔥

Get • Asin tibuok has been making bigger waves in the local food community the past couple of years—rightfully so for its complex taste and the fascinating, centuries-old process of making it. Most recently, the artisanal sea salt from Bohol has been included in the UNESCO’s List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding. Read more at the link in bio.

It’s been a year of accomplishments full of exciting trips as we promoted our beautiful culinary sea salts from the Philippines.

January found us at our familiar stomping grounds of the Winter Fancy Food Show in Las Vegas🎰. Mid-year found us featured with ChefsRoll’s Grilling Series, reaffirming that belongs in professional kitchens.

We closed the year with Terra Madre Americas in Sacramento () and Terra Madre Asia & Pacific () in the Philippines, Slow Food sponsored events. These two events attracted worldwide attention and recognizes that Philippine Sea Salts is worthy in professional kitchens and homes everywhere.

Our company continues to evolve since our first introduction of the Ilocano Asin in 2005. Then came our elusive Sugpo Asin in 2007 and only available when we can get it 😉.

We recognized in 2017 the significant and cultural value of the Asin Tibuok and partnered with the last remaining family producing it to continue to preserve the craft. And newly introduced to the world market in 2025, our latest additions; the Asin TulTul and the BudBud Asin.

These three landmark salts have been inducted into the Slow Food Ark of Taste ().

Thank you to all for supporting our products, artisan partners and xroads Philippine Sea Salts.

With Gratitude from our xroads family to yours. Mabuhay!
