"Taste the rainbow" 🌈 🥚

In addition to my silkies I have an amazing flock of heritage chickens 🐔 they provide an eggcelent variety of colored eggs. I love collecting them and seeing the beautiful colors they make. 🩷🤍🩵🧡

Sometimes I hatch their eggs out but right now if I do then Silkie is in there since my roosters are silkie. Next season we will be able to switch that up. I hatched out the sweetest silverudd roo from Paulette Brown who I will be pairing with my RiR to create "silver bullet" hybrids 😍

And I hatched a cream legbar who is a boy too. Has any one ever had those ? I love how they are auto-sexable so I know at hatch what they are. But unsure of personality as this is a new breed I'm currently working with. I'd love to hear other chicken keepers experience with them. My egg layer flock is about get an upgrade in boys 🥰 🤗

We will be at the vista Barnyard Market on August 8th and 9th @ 9am -4pm! We will be bringing a hand selection of chicks, growouts and pullets available for purchase. We will have a variety of colors and feather types to choose from! BSL strengthen eggshells and boosts immune system in your birds making it not only a tasty snack but a healthy one! These are probably the only worms you would ever see me touch LOL.🪱

Alright peeps, I know that's an outdated term! Don't come for me. Dan is a "frizzled silkie" 🤓 ✔️ Isn't frizzle fun ?! I love it. I think the silkie feathering in frizzle just gives an extra pizzazz 🤠

The only down side to frizzle is you must be very selective and careful when breeding! Frizzle x Frizzle is a big NO NO which results in a "Frazzle" 🚫🚫🚫🚫 This creates poor feather structure and health issues for the offspring. Proper care and knowledge is a must when breeding a frizzle.

The more you know the better you grow 📚👩🏼‍🌾
