a Brewing name comes from our last name: Garcia Itza Niemi. There are only a few families left in the world with the name Itza. It is thought that the word “Itza” comes from Mayan words “itz” (“magic”) and “h(a)” (“water”). And that Itza means “Water Magician.” At Itza Brewing we strive to create magic from water: our craft beer. Our education and primary work is theoretical and intellectual. We missed being creative. Beer making is a science and an art. It combines our education and interests. We also love to photograph and do art. All photos and images at our website and social media is taken or designed by us.
