When it comes to pizzas there are a bunch of different ways to make them. Old Scratch makes a 'Neopolitan' style pizza. Made fresh to order and cooked in a wood fire, stone over. They offer a selection of special pizzas, but if they are always on the menu, are they really special? Either way, they also offer a pizza that runs for a week or two, then it goes away.

This is one of my favorite places to grab a pizza and a beer. These pictures are of a draft beer and a Dayton pizza. A 'Dayton' pizza is simply a pepperoni pizza. With the sauce, cheese and those great little pepperoni it is not a simple pizza! I also had them add hot honey drizzle to it too.

Stop in and grab a beer then figure out what you're hungry for.

Stopped in at a cool little diner down in the Hocking Hills area. Fresh cut fries were the bomb! The burgers weren't bad. I got the Farnhouse burger that had hashbrowns, bacon and an egg on top. Normally the egg is left runny, but this one wasn't. It could have used some mayonnaise on it.

They have specials that looked great, like homemade chicken and noodles. Which usually sounds good but not when you've got another 2 hours of riding.

Dairy Station, in Xenia, has the best ice cream, in my opinion. They also have the best hotdogs! 100% all Angus beef, quarter pound dogs. These are West Virginia Slaw Dogs. Chili, cheese, onions, mustard and coleslaw. Some great food!

Finally got a chance to check out one of the restaurants on the Ohio Taco Trail. I have checked out two other restaurants on the trail and they were incredible authentic places. My hopes and expectations were very high for this place.

There was no free chips and salsa, like in most Mexican restaurants. No biggie, we got the house medium salsa. It was alright, at best. No different than what you get from a jar at the store. My wife got a double decker enchilada that she said tasted like lasagna. I got a half order of biscuits and gravy, with a chorizo taco on the side. I can do a whole lot of judging from these two dishes. The BnG was edible, but wouldn't recommend anyone trying. The taco was good, but for six bucks a taco, it had better be.

Over all, it was a cool place, but don't expect authentic cuisine. The food was mediocre at best.

I've known about this place for as long as I've worked in downtown Dayton, but have never tried it. I've always heard weird mixed stories about it, but just never went. So I finally tried it.

First off, don't go there on your lunch break...it's not fast food! We were there for an hour, and got our food to go.

The place is ran by an older lady and it's literally like you are in HER kitchen waiting. She makes everything fresh and to order.

I got the Yummy burger with steak fries. I don't know which one I liked better. Those fries were whole potatoes that morning! They were cooked perfectly, with nice crunchy edges and soft fluffy goodness inside. The burger...well I knew it was going to be good when she pulled the ground beef off the roll and slapped it on the grill. It did not disappoint! Might just be the best burger in town!

If you got time to kill, stop by this place and check it out. Be patient, because I've heard she is not tolerant...at all! You are in her restaurant and she will gladly remind you of that. BUT she can also be a huge sweetheart.

This beautiful piece of meat is from the Scioto Ribber in Portsmouth, Ohio. They do steaks simple. You either get a New York Strip or ulyou get a ribeye. They come in one size, 16oz. You can either get a single steak, or two. They cook most, if not all, of their meat on wood fire grills outside. You can actually watch them cook all of it.

ALL of their food is really, really good.
