Tony Gwynn Day was one for the books. 💛⚾

This year marked our 5th Tony Gwynn Day at AleSmith, and we never take for granted what this day has become. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us and made it another special one.

A huge thank you to Paul from Ground Floor Murals for once again bringing the artwork for this year’s Mr. Padre 2000 and 3000 labels to life.

And to everyone who helped make the day happen: Keep The Faith Fan Club, Collectors Corner Card Show, Vickelly Lopez, San Diego Face Painter and Airbrush Tattoos, Romi Rossel Media, Makena, DJ Up Talk Sound, Zoes Place Food Truck, Zoe’s place Inc, Pretzels & Pints 🥨🍻, The Pastrami Stand and Big Smash Burger. Join us for brew day with QUAFF homebrewer Alan Turkin! 🍻

Earlier this year, QUAFF (Quality Ale and Fermentation Fraternity), San Diego’s homebrew club, held a competition for the chance to brew the winning recipe here at AleSmith. Alan took the top spot with his California Common, a recipe he’s been brewing and fine-tuning for decades.

Alan joined our brewing team to scale up his winning recipe and brew it on our system.

Coming soon to the AleSmith Tasting Room and headed to the Great American Beer Festival to compete in the Pro-Am Competition. Stay tuned for more as part of San Diego Beer News’ Home Brew Summer!
