I'll pay you to recycle at home! How does it get any better than that?!

If you recycle with Closing The Loop we'll pick it up for free, we'll turn it in, AND we'll give you a percentage of the turn-in value.

Why give it away and put it on the curb? But taking it to a turn-in center is a pain in the ole ***. So why not let Closing The Loop do all the dirty work for you and then share in the rewards of doing the right thing?

The City of San Diego has set a goal to be 75% to zero waste by 2020 and zero waste by 2040. Closing the Loop wants to get the COUNTY of San Diego to 75% zero waste by 2015. That's next year!!!

I want you to care about recycling and the environment as much IF NOT MORE than I do. But reality is what it is. So Closing The Loop is going to make doing the right thing relevant to you! How? By paying you! It's simple and it's the right thing to do.

We're at the turning point in this world were we need to act. So here's a great way to do it and get paid for it!

Make a difference and Get $ for it.

The average person creates 5lbs of trash a day. 40% of that is compostable = 2lbs a day. That's 2lbs a day needlessly going to the landfill. That's 40% of the waste that could DOUBLE the life of our current landfills by not going there. That means no looking for a new place for a new landfill i.e. your community.

MY Dream is to get everyone to compost starting with YOU! So here's how we're going to do it together.

Option 1 - a monthly worm bin service at your home.
Option 2 - a weekly compost pick-up at your home.

BUT, if you provide us with your recycling as well, we'll credit a percentage of the turn-in value to your service. Essentially, getting paid to save the Earth. Happy New Year and Great Job Keeping that Resolution!

WORM BINS - So I'm starting a pilot program for residential composting under Closing The Loop. I know we've tried in the past to do residential composting and that some of you here in San Diego are interested but here it goes again. If you've ever wanted to compost but don't want to deal with it here's a great way to do it. For $15 a MONTH! - that's 50 cents a day - you can have a worm bin set up at your home AND I'll service it once a month for you and give you half the castings for your yard if you want. So you get all the benefits of having a worm bin, and you reduce your waste stream by 40%, and you get castings! But here's to make it better. If you can get 2 or more of your neighbors (houses need to be in proximity) then the cost goes down to $10 a Month. IF you can get 20 houses on your street to do it - it goes down to $5 a month. If you get your entire HOA to do it - let's talk!!

I got 9 Cornish Rocks fed organic feed, greens, and grains ready for the table. They'll dress out between 4-5 lbs each. I'm selling them for $5 lb OR you can join me Saturday and experience taking the chicken from farm to your table. Time of the workshop will depend on interest and the cost is $30.
