Russian River Beautification, delicious!! This beer is very unique and inspired by breweries in the Lambic region of Belgium and, especially, our friends at Cantillon. It is 100% spontaneously fermented, meaning yeast is not added. Once the beer is brewed, it is transferred to a cool-ship or “horny” tank located in our barrel room at the pub. There it sits overnight and collects whatever funky wild yeast and bacteria may be living in the room. The next day it is transferred to oak wine barrels where it ferments wildly and ages for a few months. The end result is a wild, spontaneously fermented, sour, and tasty hand-crafted beer!

In under 90 seconds, the toddler made a lake in the bathroom sink for a dolphin and I burned dinner. Husband wisely and quickly poured this beauty for me to kick off two weeks of vacation!

It was a beautiful night for a beautiful beer. Some garage cleaning led to some cellar cleaning, and this 2010 was calling my name. I’ve loved this beer since my first sip. 6% and so perfectly balanced between tart and sweet fruit. This was the beer we chose to toast with at our wedding in 2012 and is always special. Quarantine Sunday dinner was special enough.

I remember being extra pregnant on one of my last Brew Hop tours before maternity leave and seeing this beer on tap at Modern Times Beer. A golden nitro Stout with coffee, almonds, vanilla, and cinnamon sounded like the most decadent treat. Fast forward an intensely crazy year, and we found this gem in our fancy beer fridge. Perfect for a sunset quarantine evening walk around the neighborhood. This held up beautifully and was mellow, sweet, strong with no boozy bite. Everything I dreamed it would be a year ago when I was drooling over my guests taster flight. .Hop
