October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. 💙🩷🎀👼🪽

We want to take this time to use our platform here at All Things Ube Desserts ™️ to raise awareness for something very close to our hearts.

On April 23, 2024, just two weeks after our Church wedding and three days after my birthday, our family experienced the unimaginable. We lost our son, Noa Kai, at 34 weeks due to stillbirth. That day, my husband and I lost our son, and our two beautiful girls lost their baby brother.

Helping run All Things Ube Desserts alongside my husband during this time, while also being a full-time mommy to our girls, was not easy. I was very fortunate to have a husband who gave me the time I needed away from the business to grieve and process everything, even while he was grieving the loss of our son too.

We were also incredibly fortunate to have such an amazing support system. Our close family, friends, and so many of our supporters showed us love, prayed for us, and checked in on our family when we needed it most.

At first, we felt like we were the only ones experiencing something so tragic. We soon learned there were many other families we never knew who had experienced the same heartbreaking loss.

If you know someone going through pregnancy or infant loss, please reach out to them. Ask how they’re doing. Let them know you’re thinking of them and that they and their baby are in your thoughts and prayers. You don’t need the perfect words. Sometimes simply knowing someone remembers and cares makes a huge difference.

Every October 15th since our Noa Kai passed away, we gather together alongside Comfort Cub, Empty Cradle and all the other families experiencing a loss to commemorate and remember the babies who were gone too soon. 🤍

Please keep these families in your thoughts and prayers.
