I know there’s Red IPA but is there a DARK RED IPA? I think this ones going to be real good! I got 6.5 ABV out of this. Maybe I’ll bite off of &alesmith and say 6.66 ABV 😉.

2 more days and it’s Brewday on Thursday! Making a Red IPA with WLP007 Dry English ale yeast. Chillin the starter so we have a happy environment for the little ones.

On Oct. 14, 1978, President Jimmy Carter changed the course of brewing history with the stroke of his pen.

Though the 21st Amendment repealed the prohibition of manufacturing, sales and transportation of alcohol in 1933, homebrewing remained illegal on a federal level. That was until H.R.1337 repealed the federal ban on homebrewing, making every adult free to produce beer for “personal and family use.” Thanks to Carter, everyone could relax and have a homebrew.

It’s been a sad couple months not being able to brew beer because it’s been hot 🔥! We got a new toy to chill down the wort during fermentation. The yeast will now be happy. It’s like having a/c for the little guys while they’re making alcohol. Let’s make some beers! 🍻
