At Etna Dulcis, our story begins with family, tradition, and summers spent in Sicily. Owners Sonia and Filippo created Etna Dulcis to bring the authentic flavors of Sicily to the San Diego community — especially one of the island’s most beloved traditions: Sicilian granita.
Filippo was born and raised on the slopes of Mount Etna, where granita served with fresh brioche is more than dessert — it’s a summertime breakfast tradition. Sonia grew up spending her summers in Sicily, where her love for traditional Sicilian sweets began.
Together, they’re sharing that experience through homemade, high-quality granita inspired by their Sicilian roots. 🌋✨
