The storm has passed. We didn’t get the snow we’d hoped for, but the back creek is flowing.

Happy Valentine’s Day! It’s a beautiful day in sunny Julian and we have four delicious ciders to enjoy!

First our “Prickly Perry” is back, a blend of pears, apples, prickly pear juice and this time pomegranate for some extra punch.

New on tap is “The Granny” a zippy, hazy blend of Granny Smith apples from our orchard and Bartlett and D’anjou pears from Seagrowth Ranch in Volcan Valley.

Fan favorite “Peach Fuzz” is going strong but enjoy it while it lasts! It’s a blend of our apples and macerated peaches from Bailey Creek Ranch.

Last but not least our “Ciderkin” is a lighter bodied repress of Winesap apples lightly hopped with cascade, nugget and Julian Gold hops from Hopportunity Farm.

This is truly a lineup that embraces the abundance of fruits and produce our little spot in the mountains offers us.

Calico Cidery supports the protests happening in this country demanding justice for those detained by and killed by the hands of ICE. We are appalled by the violations of human rights that are occurring and the erosion of our already fragile democracy. We believe ICE must be dismantled and that a humane approach to the issue of immigration must be pursued.

Our tasting room will remain open for business today for the benefit of our staff but we will be donating 50% of sales to CASA, an organization that advocates, defends and provides legal services to migrant communities.
