Owner Sugar Jackson established Sugar’s Famous Cookies & Ice Cream in 2013. It originated in 2011 as a cupcake shop and at that time there were only two types of gourmet cookies that were introduced. The cupcakes where a hit however, the cookies were selling five times faster, making them popular and in high demand. The two cookies created where just a start of a magical idea. So, it was back to t

he kitchen to concentrate on new recipes for these gourmet cookies that are filed with natural ingredients and no preservatives. In addition, we added a crazy idea to add a scoop of any of our twelve Premium flavors Dreyer’s ice cream to any two of our famous gourmet cookies creating a new specialty one-of-a-kind ice cream sandwich. The experiment was a success, family and friends are crazy about these cookies and ice cream sandwiches they can’t get enough!

My Unintentional Journey

Sugar Jackson...owner of Sugar's Famous Cookies...baker extraordinaire...who would've thought?? Not I, that's for sure. Probably not anyone who knows me personally. I actually didn't even know myself. You would never have put Sugar Jackson, and the word baker in the same sentence. Your typical "bad boy" growing up, I was really surprised that I had such a knack for baking! I really enjoyed it. I realized that I was really good at it! Someone once told me you have a million dollar name take advantage of it! In that moment, a baker was born. To think, I had gone to a cupcake class with my sister, just to keep her company, and it resulted in all of this.

I opened The Cupcake Shack in 2009 in the downtown sector of Pomona Ca. The shop did very well, and even won a few big awards, including recognition by the City of Pomona for new business of the year. However, even though all of that, I realized that baking cookies was where my real passion was. Seeing my cookies fly off the shelf was the best feelings ever. So, at that point Sugar's Famous Cookies and Ice Cream was created. Now I’m building one of the biggest online cookie businesses ever ...baking the world a better place, one cookie at a time. Soon, we will open our first flagship shop! Offering an awesome array of cookies, ice cream, ice cream sandwiches, and even more sweet treats to feed that sweet tooth!
