# Rawon Bowl, anyone? For someone that knows rawon meal, it is popular in East Java island, where my grandfather was born and raised. Its ingredients rival that of rendang, and my mother often said making it was stressful for her, too many ingredients, a little bit of this and that, and out come beef rawon, our beef stew,, flavorful, original, and balanced. Have it with over rice or mashed potatoes, or mashed sweet potatoes. YUM
