A walk down memory lane, in every sense. 🤍

While visiting my parents last weekend in Vancouver, BC — my 90-year-old dad stopped in the hallway to show my husband a photograph of our family home in Fiji — a home that is now the Consulate General of Switzerland in Fiji. 🇫🇯🇨🇭

In this chapter of his life, our conversations about his upbringing, our family and where we come from feel more precious than ever.

Watching him share these memories brought tears to my eyes. My parents have given us something that goes far beyond a place — a history, a sense of belonging, and stories that will continue long after us.

There is something so special about knowing where you come from, and an even greater joy in sharing those roots with my children. 🤍

Our story. Their story. And a little piece of Fiji that will always be home.

Growing up in Vancouver, our family made countless trips to Kelowna, Summerland, Penticton, and Osoyoos—making memories by the lake, sharing meals with loved ones, and discovering the incredible communities that make this valley so special.

A beautiful memory from many summers ago in the Okanagan Valley. 🤍🇨🇦

I’ve been fortunate to spend so many wonderful moments here over the years with family and friends—overlooking the lake, surrounded by vineyards, and taking in a place that has always felt truly timeless.

Today, my heart is with the communities across Summerland and the surrounding Okanagan Valley as wildfires and evacuations affect families, businesses, and wineries throughout the region. 💔

The Okanagan is so much more than a wine region to us. It’s a place filled with incredible people, beautiful memories, and a community we care deeply about. ✨

We can’t wait to bring our own children here and create some of the same memories with them one day. 🙌🏼

For now, we’re holding everyone affected in our hearts and prayers. 🙏🏼❤️ Please send a little extra love to this beautiful valley and the people who call it home. 🫶🏼
