The greatest memories I have of being outside are waking up in the morning to see nature in the morning daylight, and late night campfire chats - in scouting, with friends, close ones, and more. It’s campfire camaraderie I’ll call it. Who are the best types of folks you’ve gone camping with? Let me know!

Cheers to being halfway through the month, KIN! It's National Picnic Month, so grab your favorite Kuju roast, your jetboil (or whatever you use to heat your water up, there are so many options!) and get out there!

I just went to Yosemite with my family (wife and 2 kids) with a campervan! A dodge Solis model by Winnebago to be exact, rented via . Was sweet! On the way home, we slept overnight in a Walmart parking lot too, which I felt a bit weird but turned out to be pretty cool - all things you could need in one place!

Not sure we could do vanlife forever but would love to hear if you have and what you think!

Fly Thru Hikers Fly!

This morning we headed up to Rockfish Gap, right at the southern entrance to Shenandoah National Park, and posted up for our 8th consecutive year of Trail Magic for AT thru hikers!

This year we had the joy of bringing over 30 pairs of “retired” demo HOKA trail shoes, offering them to hikers who wanted to find their size and swap out, filling up their waters and packing out their litter! I’m stoked to report that we gave away all but 3 pairs!! That’s a lot of sweet sweet cushion for the Shenandoah pushin!

We then scooted off to do a little out and back of Blackrock Summit and see some beautiful Virginia mountains for ourselves!

This last week was much needed. It’s been awhile since I have camped. I didn’t realize how much I needed to be out of range and unreachable. It’s a different kind of reset unlike any other. The silence of nature with nothing but the birds calling and river rushing. Jumped right back into the frying pan Monday morning as they say. I think I worked from 9:30am and didn’t get home until 11:30pm to catch up after being gone. Worth it. We drove more than 20 hrs on this trip and discovered 4 new places. I am pumped for my annual backpacking trip next! Where’s your favorite place to backpack? I am a water chaser, whether it’s a cold spring for drinking or a hot one for soaking, or a lake or river to jump into.

Heading out on another 15-20ish mile hiking trip over the weekend. This time I’m backpacking my way to a mid-point and doing an overnight. This was a frequent activity of my 20s. I’m getting back to my roots. If you’re just driving your truck on trails or you sit at camp you’re definitely missing out.

I was doing the math and realized I’ve camped at 26 different places. But this is including all my camping since I was a kid.

26 felt like a lot, but I’m 100% sure many of you have camped at even more places. Which have been your favorite? And why?

Every campsite, van, RV, and home stocks coffee in a different place. I was asked to show what I eat from breakfast each day and which Kuju roast I drink, and realized Kuju is everywhere in my house, so here’s the real inside look!
