The Papalote Mission Burrito
50 years ago the creators of the Mission style burrito wrapped traditional Mexican food in a giant tortilla. Chipotle took the concept and ran with it, popularizing the Mission burrito across the country. Papalote pays tribute to the original Mission burrito by cooking everything from scratch with traditional recipes and techniques, using fresh ingredients of the highest quality. Say no to steamed tortillas.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! What are you celebrating this year? Ultimately Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of our culture, our traditions, and our contributions to this country. Sure, there was a battle fought in Mexico in the 1800s, but here in the U.S. the date, adopted and embraced by the Chicano movement in the 60s, has taken on a deeper, more culturally relevant meaning. This year we would like to celebrate the Latino Farm Worker. Their presence and contributions to this country are undeniable. Latino Farm Workers are essential. Este Cinco de Mayo… ¡Viva el campesino latino!
