Happy Father’s Day, everyone.

My dad and I had a very estranged relationship before he passed, but the times when it was good – it was good. And some days, it was pretty bad. But it’s been 5 years and I’ve been able to open myself to more people in my life who support the journey I’m on. It’s okay if my dad isn’t around anymore. I’ve come to peace with it. 

But what breaks my heart is when I meet others who have gone through the same struggles as me with my dad. 

Sometimes, what we really want from our parents is just to listen and understand us. And maybe say we’re brilliant.

I hope this day can be a day where we not only remember what our dads gave us or didn’t give us, but a chance to share our inner thoughts and be authentic to the people who gave us life.

But I live with the regret that we never tried to understand each other. 

But what breaks my heart is when I meet others who have gone through the same struggles as me with my dad. 

Sometimes, what we really want from our parents is just to listen and understand us. And maybe say we’re brilliant.

I wanna give a huge shoutout to my cousin and her fiancee for giving the Mustang a new home. It's time I moved on.
