Santa Cruz knows how to throw a block party. 🌊🔥

Following the Verve Coffee 8K Run, we headed over to the Collective Santa Cruz Block Party in Seabright, and this place was PACKED.

Local food vendors, coffee, artists, makers, music and an incredible crowd. DOUBLE MEAT PLEASE • ᴅᴍᴘ and I basically ate our way through the afternoon. 😂🍴

But one thing I’m really starting to love about spending so much time in Santa Cruz is the COMMUNITY.

People show up here. They support local businesses, support creators, bring their families, eat, shop, hang out and genuinely want to see each other win.

Huge thank you to the entire Collective Santa Cruz family for having us and putting together such a great event. ❤️

And shoutout to EVERY vendor who showed up. There were way too many incredible businesses to name them all.

🚨 THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE EPISODE 3. 🚨

Then we went to Kambu Pizza.

And honestly, what happened on Highway 17 deserved its own reel. 😂

and I arrived expecting to film another episode of Two Pies, Two Guys.

Instead, we got:

🍕 A 12-inch pizza for $45
💀 Dough that was genuinely RAW
🤬 A building covered in signs, curse words and things we probably shouldn’t repeat
😂 And an experience that got progressively more unhinged by the minute

At some point we stopped reviewing pizza and just started trying to understand what was happening around us.

FORTY. FIVE. DOLLARS.

TWELVE INCHES.

RAW DOUGH.

That’s not a pizza review.

That’s a cry for help. 😭

So there is no Episode 3.

No score.

No attempt to explain what you’re about to watch.

Just two guys, one camera and a $45 Highway 17 fever dream.

We laughed so hard editing this that we decided it deserved to live completely on its own.

BAY AREA PARENTS… I FOUND A GOOD ONE. ✈️👀

If you’re looking for things to do with kids in the Bay Area, SAVE THIS.

📍 Hiller Aviation Museum | San Carlos, CA

This place is properly hands-on. Kids can climb into aircraft, grab the controls, explore cockpits, try flight simulators, hit the soft-play area and watch real planes taking off right outside. ✈️

But the reason we came?

🎨 PAINT-A-PLANE.

They literally hand the kids a paintbrush and let them PAINT A REAL AIRPLANE. 😂

And the best part? Paint-A-Plane was included FREE with museum admission.

👦 Ages 4–17: $15
👶 3 & under: FREE with a paid adult
🅿️ Parking: FREE

10/10 parenting activity.

FISH & CHIPS.

For the last year, Fork & Score has been searching for the best fish and chips in the Bay Area, from San Francisco to Pacifica, San Jose to Santa Cruz, Monterey and beyond.

We’ve found absolute bangers. We’ve found hidden gems. We’ve found chips that deserved better. And occasionally, we’ve witnessed crimes against the British Empire. 😂

🚨 I THINK I JUST FOUND THE BEST OYSTERS IN NORCAL. 🦪🔥

📍 Hook & Line | Downtown Santa Cruz, CA

I’m putting my money where my mouth is. These might genuinely be the best oysters I’ve had in Northern California so far. Fresh, briny, beautifully presented, and absolutely phenomenal.

But Hook & Line is NOT just an oyster spot.

🍗 The chicken was incredible, served in this rich, mole-like sauce that I genuinely wanted to scrape off the plate.

🐟 The rockfish sandwich was OUT OF THIS WORLD. If you come here and don’t know what to order, this is the move.

🦪 The oysters? Best in NorCal so far. I said what I said.

And then there’s everything else.

The staff? Phenomenal.
The vibes? Immaculate.
The ambience? Nailed it.
The whole experience? One of my favorite meals in Santa Cruz recently.

You’ll NEVER guess where I found these fish & chips… 👀🐟🍟

I’ve reviewed fish & chips all over the Bay Area and beyond, but this might be one of the most surprising places I’ve found a decent plate.

The fish was crispy, flaky and genuinely better than I expected. The chips? Fine. Nothing life-changing, but they did the job.

Then there’s the location…

✈️ I’m at SFO.

Yep. Airport fish & chips. 😂

This is Lark Creek Grill inside San Francisco International Airport, and I think we need to be fair here because context matters.

Are these the best fish & chips in the Bay Area? No.

Would I drive to SFO just to eat them? Absolutely not.

But if your flight is delayed, you’ve got a long layover, or you’re sitting at the airport wondering what on earth to eat, this is actually not a bad little option.

Hot, crispy, filling and MUCH better than I expected from airport food.

Milpitas Italian food spot that deserves more love 🇮🇹🍝

📍 Giorgio’s Italian Food & Pizzeria in Milpitas

First things first: GET THE SAUSAGE BREAD. 🔥 Seriously. Warm, cheesy, loaded with sausage and absolutely the thing I’d come back for.

The calamari came out golden and crispy, the sausage penne was hearty and packed with flavor, and the Caprese had that fresh, bright flavor you want to break up all the carbs.

Then there’s the Chicken Parm. It honestly doesn’t look like much when it hits the table, but don’t judge it by the cover because this thing packs a punch. 🍗🍅🧀

Giorgio’s also has a full bar, so obviously I had to put the Bloody Mary to the Fork & Score test. 🍅🍸 Was it one of the best I’ve ever had? Nope. But did it scratch the itch? Absolutely.

Overall, Giorgio’s feels like that classic, old-school Italian-American neighborhood restaurant. Big portions, comfort food, pizza, pasta and plenty to explore on the menu.

⭐ 3 out of 5 FORKS 🍴🍴🍴

Santa Cruz coffee lovers, Cat & Cloud absolutely gets the coffee right. ☕️🍓

I stopped by Cat & Cloud Coffee on Swift Street, their Santa Cruz HQ and the only Cat & Cloud location with a full kitchen. (Cat & Cloud)

🍓 Strawberry Matcha: LOVED this. Fresh, creamy, balanced and easily the standout of the visit.

☕️ Flat White: Excellent. Smooth, properly made and exactly what I want from a specialty coffee shop.

🥑 Avocado Toast: Really good. Manresa levain topped with their citrus cucumber avocado mash, pepitas and microgreens. This one delivered. (Cat & Cloud)

🌯 Breakfast Burrito: This is where they lost me. At around $13, I expected a lot more. It wasn’t terrible, but compared with how good everything else was, the flavor just wasn’t there for me and the value didn’t make sense. I’d skip it.

That said, one miss doesn’t erase a lot of wins. The drinks were excellent, the avocado toast hit, the space has that effortlessly Santa Cruz feel, and I’d absolutely come back.

Monster gives you the citrusy fizz, espresso brings the coffee hit, and a little creamer somehow pulls the whole thing together.

It absolutely should NOT work.
