This week, something exciting took root at Veggielution.

With support from The Health Trust, we launched a new pilot program to help East San José food entrepreneurs explore the opportunities of becoming a Microenterprise Home Kitchen Operation (MEHKO).

The pilot brings together entrepreneurs from the 95116 ZIP code to learn about the MEHKO program and, over the coming months, navigate the process of obtaining their permits. Along the way, we'll learn what barriers exist, what support makes the biggest difference, and how we can make the path easier for future entrepreneurs.

At Veggielution, we believe food is a source of livelihood and community power. By testing new ideas and learning alongside entrepreneurs, we're helping build more pathways for local businesses to grow and thrive right here in East San José.

Esta semana comenzó algo muy especial en Veggielution.

Con el apoyo de **The Health Trust**, lanzamos un nuevo programa piloto para ayudar a emprendedores de alimentos del este de San José a conocer y aprovechar las oportunidades que ofrece el programa **Microenterprise Home Kitchen Operation (MEHKO)**.

Este programa reúne a emprendedores del código postal **95116**, quienes aprenderán sobre el programa MEHKO y, durante los próximos meses, recorrerán el proceso para obtener su permiso.
