From registered horned Herefords to versatile commercial stock, we provide range-ready bulls, heifers, and steers built to perform. Kathleen's grandparents, Arthur S & Ruby Nyland went back to the Wyoming Hereford Ranch and bought a box car load of bred heifers in 1946. They returned the next year and purchased another load. Those are the only females that have ever been brought into our herd. Ka

thleen's grandparents were previously in the commercial cattle business. We have started a small commercial herd on a completely difference ranch. We used some of the heifers that were going to be sold. When Kathleen's grandfather died suddenly, she and her mother Dorothy took over the management of the ranch. We were so very lucky to have Everett Shaw with us in a consultant capacity. He was with the herd from the beginning. He was from the same old school that Arthur was from, there were just things that women did not do. We were even told by our Farm Advisor, Rocky Lydon, "That men would never buy bulls from a woman." We sell coming two year old bulls and replacement heifers. Our customers are commercial cattlemen who are looking for bulls that are correct, with natural thickness and good bone. We cull ruthlessly. We do not show and have gone to very few bull sales. We have won Champion Hereford Bull at the Famosa Sale every year we have attended over the years, except once. Handsome Horned Hereford bull for sale, born in 2022. Located in San Juan Bautista, CA at the historic Nyland Ranch. Sired out of OK 215Z Domino 2318, photo included of sire.

We are the 4th generation to take the helm and as such are re-grouping and beginning to sell bulls again. Although not registered, we can promise that this guy comes from a long line of incredible genetics.

He has been semen tested and results indicate excellent s***m motility and viability. He has also been vaccinated for anaplasmosis. Not halter broke but is gentle and is currently turned out with our other bulls.

He is not registered but could be.

I’ve included some pictures of him, his sire, and our herd.

Want to know where your food comes from? Our steers roam freely across our picturesque pastures, enjoying a low-stress environment. This commitment to tradition and quality results in ethically raised beef with exceptional flavor.

We are selling whole & half beef. Grass fed and grain finished. We feed out to 1,200lbs on the hoof. Tell us were you want your animal butchered and we will have a mobile butcher deliver it there.

Whole beef is $4,500 with a non-refundable deposit of $2,250 to reserve. A whole steer will yield approx. 400-500lbs of beef and soup bones.

A half beef is $2,500 with a non-refundable deposit of $1,250 to reserve. A half steer will yield approx. 200-300lbs of beef and soup bones.
