✨Senior Spotlight✨

Miranda Seidl has spent her evenings getting the herd up into the parlor, cleaning beds, and keeping the herd milked as her time as a milker here at the unit. We are extremely appreciative of her hard work and time. She has also been involved with calving enterprise and research here at the farm.

While we have her for another summer, Miranda plans on taking a gap year in Southern California and then plans on applying to vet schools.

✨Senior Spotlight✨

Kaileen Grace has been a pillar of hard work, dedication, and and the learn by doing spirit during all her time at the Dairy Unit. Kaileen has been instrumental in maintaining calf health and care to the highest degree as calf manager and finally whole herd care as herdsman manager.

Kaileen’s dedication and passion will be sorely missed as she goes on to vet school at Iowa State where she plans on continuing to focus on large animal and equine care.

Congrats Kaileen! We are excited to see where you shine next. The herd, especially Jellybean, will miss you.

Zoe Florence spent her early mornings and evenings in the milk parlor making sure our herd was milked in safe, healthy, and efficient fashion each and every time. Zoe is constant positive presence and was always a joy to have in the parlor and at the dairy.

Zoe will be taking her talents to Coast Pipe in their sales and social media marketing campaigns.

Thank you Zoe for dedicating your time and energy to our herd, it is greatly appreciated.

✨Senior Spotlight✨

Amanda Burdett has been a constant and very hard working presence on the dairy since her hiring in 2024.

Amanda has progress from calf feeding and milking to a herdsman role at the unit. She has done a fantastic job and we’re lucky to have her for one more summer before she goes to vet school.

Thank you Amanda for all you’ve done here at the unit. From long calf shifts to helping put on state finals we cannot be more thankful. Good luck!
