If you grew up in SLO, most likely you ate Chinese food at Mee Heng Low at least once in your life. It has been a fixture in SLO for decades and is located in historic Chinatown (what's left of it). It was run by the Gin Family until 1987ish, shortly after the death of Gow Gin, owner and patriarch of the family. Many people miss the food from MHL and after many years, we finally decided to make a

cookbook sharing some of the recipes with you. We also wanted to share some of the history of MHL as well as share some stories from our time in the restaurant.
