The Pleasant Valley Wine Trail is a group of 15 Paso Robles wineries located in northern Paso Robles, offering warm hospitality, award-winning wines, and spectacular views! Estate vineyards line the beautiful route of this undiscovered wine trail. Twelve wineries, just minutes apart, offer you the chance to venture off the beaten path and enjoy a friendly, relaxing wine tasting experience. Wine lovers can enjoy a variety of award-winning wines including everything form Albarino to Zinfandel and dessert wines too. International Grenache Day Highlight: Villa San Juliette 2025 Carbonic Grenache

Carbonic maceration is a w**emaking technique where whole, uncrushed grape clusters are placed in a sealed tank filled with carbon dioxide to ferment. As the berries slowly burst they meld into a complex palate of fruit with a unique note of bubble gum, derived from the inclusion of stems, adding to the playful nature of this style of w**emaking.

Best served chilled, the 2025 Carbonic Grenache from the VSJ estate is pale ruby in color, making it a darker rosé. Notes of guava and nectarine come first, then bright maraschino cherry underneath tropical and stone fruit, all in the same sip. The palate is clean and acidic, with a texture and structure that lingers, with a finish of basil and mint leaf.
As you dive deeper and peel back the layers, it’s clear that this style is entirely its own and keeps you coming back for more. This w**e is produced in limited quantities and made only in select vintages. Stop by VSJ and experience this exciting w**e soon!
