It's National Volunteer Firefighter Day! - A time to honor .

The dedicated volunteer firefighters in Alabama provide countless hours of services to the citizens and businesses. Volunteers respond to fires, vehicle accidents, medical calls and other emergencies.

National Volunteer Firefighter Day is an opportunity for citizens to say thank you and honor those who are dedicated and use their personal time to protect them. Volunteers are truly unsung heroes that show up in your time of need. Consider stopping by your local to say thank you, donate snacks, water/Gatorade, a meal, etc.

Thank you for your courage, commitment and all you do for your community! You are greatly appreciated! God bless you.

The San Pierre Vol Fire Dept would like to give a Huge "THANK YOU" to the following: KANKAKEE VALLEY REMC - OPERATION ROUND UP, FIRST FARMERS BANK & TRUST, FIRST BANK OF MONTEREY, THE ABUNDANT LIFE CHURCH OF STARKE COUNTY, 1ST SOURCE BANK and Citizens First Fire Training for your generous donations to help the fire dept purchase this extrication strut system, which will be used to stabilize vehicles during emergency responses. This equipment enables single responder to secure a vehicle more quickly and with fewer resources, ensuring faster assistance to those in need. Thank you, Cody Chayhitz, for delivering them to the department! We are looking forward to our training day with you!

San Pierre Vol Fire would like to say "THANK YOU" to DripDrop and National Volunteer Fire Council for including our dept in the 2026 DripDrop hydration Giveback Campaign!!! This donation of DripDrop electrolyte drink mix will help keep our firefighters hydrated during training, emergency responses and in the extreme heat as well as the long incidents. Staying hydrated helps our crews perform at their best and stay safe on the job.

The San Pierre Vol Fire Dept would like to send out a huge THANK YOU!!!!! to Anheuser-Busch and National Volunteer Fire Council for the generous donation of emergency drinking water and the Calumet Breweries for delivering it to the fire station! This water will help keep our firefighters hydrated during their response efforts. A total of 2352 cans, a more sustainable and possibly healthier alternative to plastic bottles.
This donation is provided through Anheuser-Busch's Emergency drinking water for wildland firefighters program, which supports volunteer departments with critical hydration resources during wildfire season. Learn more at www.nvfc.org/water.

The $2,500 award will help purchase a strut system, which will be used to stabilize vehicles during emergency responses.
